Dear Students,
We are all going through a peculiar period, which is affecting yours and our academic life. We hope to be able to resume our daily life soon, as we left it in March. In the meantime, however, we must face a new, temporary way of continuing our academic activity.
As you know, NABA has spared no effort. We have put energy and resources at your disposal right from the beginning and we will continue to do so.
We would like to remind you that NABA, in taking the first safety measures in March, managed in just 24 hours to provide each of you with a digital platform to allow you to continue your studies without interruption. The management of didactic activities - remotely by computer or in a blended way - has resulted in (and still requires) significant additional costs, but this has not stopped us.
We would like to focus on a very important aspect. NABA was the fastest Academy in Italy to guarantee continuity and non-stop service, giving students the opportunity to complete the academic year on time. Many of your peers who study in other universities and institutes had lessons and academic activities suspended, therefore they have not been able to acquire the necessary credits to go on with their studies (and the risk of not obtaining scholarships).
As we have announced, we confirm that we will offer you additional and free workshop experiences, starting from September as a further contribution to your academic training.
We also inform you that the Academy is currently committed to adopting all prevention and protection measures against Covid-19.
In the first phase of the next academic year we will need to put measures in place to guarantee social distancing throughout the Academy. To deal with it, NABA will inevitably increase the amount of teaching hours on-site. Therefore, you will be working in smaller groups and this will allow teachers to dedicate greater support and attention to each of you.
The added number of teaching hours planned for the beginning of the 2020/21 academic year will require frequent cleaning in order to fully comply with the COVID-19 health and hygiene standards, and provide greater protection for each of you.
We would also like to inform you that, NABA - despite not having received any state grant-in-aid (unemployment benefits, grants, etc.) - has ensured the continuity of work for employees and collaborators, during the whole period.
Lastly, we have not neglected the economic difficulties that some of you had due to this pandemic. NABA will continue to provide DSU scholarships - the new call for bids will be available on our website in July. In addition to this, we have also deducted € 200 from your school tuition fee, to be applied in the first installment and valid only for the academic year 2020 / 21.
It means that the total financial aid provided by the Academy will reach an amount exceeding € 2,000,000.
Moreover, we would like to point out that NABA has two agreements - with Deutsche Bank and Banca Intesa – to get favorable loans to cover school fees, with medium-long term repayment. For further information, please contact the administration office concerning the services offered by Deutsche Bank, or check the following website with reference to Banca Intesa services: https://www.intesasanpaolo.com/it/persone-e-famiglie/prodotti/prestiti/prestito-onore-per-merito.html._______.
In further support, all expired scholarships will be reinvested to support students in need.
Finally, we remind you that NABA offers paid tutoring activities for up to 150 hours for students that do not benefit of scholarship or financial aids.
In this difficult period affecting both the Italian community’s daily life as well as the whole world, the Academy believes to have been able to give a considerable and valid contribution and hope to continue to do so.
Best Regards,
Donato Medici
